Challenges

Event organizers have long been struggling with major challenges related to the planning and execution of events that often involves leadership and communication between many people in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Some of the issues that we are trying to solve are related to issues like:

  • Establishing an organization that will be responsible for the event in a manner that ensures that all the critical issues in an event are taken care of
  • Providing knowledge transfer between people when organizing events, and the transfer of "lessons learned" from one event to the next
  • How to interact and communicate with all involved parties in a way that is cost effective and reliable
  • The staffing of volunteers, including recruiting, training and management
  • Acquiring supporting systems, web-pages, equipment and different resources, and answering questions like "what are my actual needs?" and "where may I find the available equipment that I need"?
  • Reporting progress based on reliable plans, both within the organization and to the federation/owner of the event


Overall, there are many issues that have to be handled in a professional manner in order to work more efficient and predictable, with lower risks, especially when arranging events with an absolute deadline!
