Challenges for event organizers

Challenges

An organizer has often numerous tasks that must be taken care of in order to succeed with the goals of the event. It is demanding to establish the right foundation for the organizational committee, including best practice for organizing and planning and processes and systems that makes it possible to work in an effective way.

One of the major challenges is the project management and especially the status reporting to the federation or owner of the event.

There are also often many challenges related to the requirement of volunteers and the necessary communication with them, from recruiting, to employment and training.

It is furthermore important to handle the communication and information exchange between all involved parties and volunteers.

An organizer is also forced to establish a set of IT systems that must be handled in a secure and reliable way, with as low costs as possible.

We believe that it is possible to contribute to a more efficient and reliable process by providing tools that is tailored to meet these needs and that is the foundation behind the Event Portal.

Host commitments and contracts

The foundation for most events is often a detailed and complex contract that defines the requirements and obligations.

Planning and staffing

When it comes to arranging a event there is a steep learning curve while handling the process from planning what is to be done when, to acquiring people and resources, training them – and finally execute the event.
